{Teen Topic} Summer Hair Trends with Popbands ~ Review

July 9, 2013

disclosure

Popbands are cool, trendy hair bands that don’t leave huge bumps in your hair and double as bracelets. They come in awesome colors like yellow, purple, blue, pink, all the colors of the rainbow and more; they also come with patterns and adornments!

logo The company is UK based but Popbands are available online all over the world. The company also does good by raising funds to support charities around the globe.

The Popbands themselves come in many colors, patterns, sizes (from ponytail to headband) and beads and jewels. The pricing starts from individual adorned bands starting at $6.09 and multi-pack unadorned with five colors starting at $9.13

DSC_0001 The Popbands truly live up to their slogan. They don’t pull or tear your hair and they look adorable on your wrist. My sister and I wear them all the time in our hair and on our wrists. The bright colors are fun to wear and don’t fade and the knots don’t come undone!

DSC_0005What I like most about the Popbands is that they don’t pull or tear your hair! The colors are very vibrant and don’t dull or fade. I also love that they are gorgeous on your wrist, I don’t wear ponytails for a long period of time so I often wear a band on my wrist so I can throw my hair up if needed for volleyball practice or PE at school. A lot of friends ask me about my “bracelet” and when I tell them its my hair band they are surprised. The knots stay and don’t come out easily. Such a simple design is so effective! The more you tug on the knot, the tighter it gets! At first I thought that they might not hold my hair and would likely slip out. I was wrong about that! The Popbands stay in my (very thick) hair for hours! My mom even sleeps in hers and they stay put!

The only thing I could say that might be a negative is that the patterns lighten when stretched because of the ink on the elastic. They also do leave small bumps on thick hair, especially if your hair is wet or even slightly damp when you put the band in.

Like you, I often put hair ties on my wrist, so how cool that these double as a bracelet!

It’s like friendship bracelets. Collect, share, mix and match. How fun.

Those are really cute! I know most girls end up with their elastics from their hair around their wrists! At least these are cute ones 🙂

You know, I’m the same way, I never leave mine in long and would rather have something cute and colorful like this than some goofy hair band. I have rather thin hair so I’d be interested to see how these would hold my hair or if they’d slip out!

I have to say, the first thing I noticed were the cute little hands. What great hand models! These are really cute!
